Thanks for that link. I have added it to the Louisiana State Agencies page as a link.

Hmmmm with 700MHz P-25 systems comming online.. it just means that GRE and Uniden will have to iether make a fully cpapble scanner, or someone make software that actually works to trunk them accurately. Its NOT the end of the world....

The only thing that would kill yours and our scanning of these systems would be if they went with M/A-Com lol!

This is probably somewhere on the above link in the first post, but it was posted on my yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scanningarkansas/ and thought I would share it. Arkansas is going to a digital system within the next year or two, but no word on 800 or 700mhz. I hope it is 800 just for scanning purposes. The digital scanners now are already $500 and up. I guess adding 700mhz trunking will add $200 more to the sell price. Don't know if I can keep up? Heres the link:

So will the newer digitrackers, such as the Uniden BC-396, with the capability to upgrade their firmware be able to follow the proposed system? I've passed on the Pro-96 and the BC-246 while waiting for the new digitracker to hit the shelves. Now, it looks like Phase 1 will be well underway by the time I can order one and Phase 2 will be going strong by the time I pay off the credit card. It would be a major bummer to spend around $600+ for the latest and greatest only to have it going silent a year later.
