Hi,

I downloaded Jefferson county frequencies and they are working except for ULPD DISP ID 45, the audio is garbled. I also have the same issue with several others that are EMS MED related. I'm using a Radioshack Pro-197. Any ideas?

Thanks,

GP

This works for some Uniden scanners, change your band width from nbfm to fm, either frequency by frequency or by some band width editor that covers all freqs in the area that is garbled. Its an easy try, easy to put back if the results don't work.

I missed this thread.

As W8RMH noted, these are encrypted talkgroups.

Adding a little more, the ones you noted are ADP encrypted rather than the higher level AES or DES encryption.

Some scanners will skip over channels with encryption. Other scanners attempt to decode ADP, but finding they cannot, they resume scanning. I have a Uniden 396T that will do a "fast buzzing" on ADP talkgroups. It is annoying so I just lock out the channels, plus there is no chance at receiving them anyway.
