My LouisvilleScanMan website is now streaming Louisville and Jefferson Co. fire services. In the next couple weeks I plan to add another stream for all Louisville EMS including LMEMS, Yellow, Mercy, Rural Metro and STATCARE. Here's the URL: LouisvilleScanMan

Pretty cool. Just a heads up, the frequencies you have for Rural / Metro are incorrect - we are currently using Nextel Group Connect with back up UHF mobile radios in the squads. Those are listed as a business license under Concept Communications.

Are they using the 461.900 for the uhf side? I thought I heard some traffic on there not too long ago....Good to have someone from Rural Metro on here.

I must admit...

That is one very clear clean crisp stream you have.

Tell me how you got it sounding so clear.

I guess it's just the computer (eMachines EL1200-05w) In a week or two I'm going to set up a second stream for EMS. Just bought an audio cable on eBay today. But in a few months Louisville is going digital and I won't hear anything til I get a P25 scanner which will be a while and I can't set up multipul streams with one scanner. I'm hopeing some of my more well equiped website readers will volunteer to assist me in my stream project.

I'm not exactly sure on the frequency, I'll type that one in on the scanner and see if it works when I work Wednesday night.

It's in the database under Concept Communications, need a LTR trunk scanner to follow conversations, but any scanner with UHF will hear them.

Thanks

Bluegrass, thanks for putting the feed up! It sounds really good, just wondering what kind of rig are you using for reception? What about antenna and location? Just wondering good it seems like you're able to pick up most everything.

The scanner is a Radio Shack Pro-82 connected to a homebuilt 3 element 2 meter yagi hanging from a beam in the basement. I live in a fairly high area so reception is OK.

Hey buddy: The feed is still sounding great!
I'm just wondering if you have a list of stations [other than lfd of course] who are covered on the feed?
Just so when I hear one of the rural/county departments I'll know which one it is.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Go to my site and click on the "Fire" page and scroll down to the listings for Jefferson Co. fire and you'll see the dept. radio ID numbers and unit ID numbers. Just write them down and you'll know which dept and what type of unit is being dispatched.
