Hey guys I was at the truck show in Louisville KY and ran into UPMan at the Bearcat Uniden booth. He told me to tell you guys that he is alive and well. Showed some of the scanners, the Bearcat SSB CB and now I got a reason to get a Uniden 980 SSB lol. Glad to meet you there Paul.

Was there any release date news on that 980 SSB?

Ditto on the release date. All I've been able to find is a couple of blurbs on trucker BB's from last October, since then nothing. I even e-mailed Uniden about it and got no date has been determined back. Makes me wonder about this product?

Been hearing about this show for weeks on Sirius Road Dog Trucking channel. One day I'll check it out.
