Yeah the dispatching is still being done out of Barrett ave and the new building is under construction/destruction but the EOC is nice, they have 6 or so 8x8 cubicles which serve as office space for the EOC workers. Each workstation has a PC and phone.
One cubicle is the ham station, at the HF station is an Icom IC-756PROIII with a desk mic and ICOM speaker plus an Ameritron 1500 watt amplifier and Ameritron tuner as well as an antenna switch and rotator control. The 2m/70cm station has an Icom IC-2720H dual band with a Yaesu WIRESII interface box and an Astron power supply. On the roof is a 30 ft tower with an HF yagi and 2 or 3 dipoles (one was knocked down during the windstorm) and the antennas are fed with RG8U or 213U coax.
The main EOC area is just down from the cubicles and is a classroom type setup with several rows of workstation tables each work station having it's own Dell PC and phone line. Up at the front of the room is a multimedia control center for the projector, TV sets and overhead speakers. off to the side is a bank of racks containing VHS, DVD, CD, CD-ROM, and data inputs that can be displayed on the projector screen as well as servers and networking equipment.
At the back of the room were several rows of monitors which were used for the LMPD METRO WATCH system. During large events or in high crime areas the LMPD will install remote cameras and can monitor them from the EOC or possibly from the mobile command center.
Well that's about all I saw, sorry I couldn't get any photos but maybe next time. Oh and they didn't need the equipment installed, they just wanted us to check the programming and make sure it was correct. The gear was installed about a year ago.
