BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Love the Recording Feature

More the 1 Time it saved me from missing out on the local Stuff..
I live in a small Town where the PD triggers my Close Call Feature even with my Antenna off.
First Time using it I did not catch what was going on till I replayed it . There was a Home Invention with the Subject Shooting himself, I did not found out till I replayed it.
Now on several Occasion when I can not sit in front of the Scanner to capture what is going on I can replay it.
Love it Love It.

The built-in replay/record feature of the 436HP and 536HP are great. I use these all the time.
Can leave the scanners on for hours, go do something else, come back, play back the recordings in a few minutes, etc.
My wife does not want to be listening to the scanner when we drive somewhere. No problem. Just turn on the recorder, let the scanner record, great function.

What is the quality of these recordings? Are they better than what you would hear on a typical RR live feed?
