I was looking at 10 meter FM up in the 29 Mhz range and it was jammed.

So, I slipped up to the VHF low band. Only managed five stations, (I don't have that much patience :) )

31.820 - West VA Natural Resources
33.780 - NH District Fire WPQJ815
33.860 - NJ Fire Dispatch WNWD462
34.150 - NY Fire (Bergen County) KNBD931
35.790 - Sounded like a rebroadcast of a commercial radio station. Continuous feed. Some talk, some music, but was in Spanish so I couldn't make out where it was coming from.

I spent most of the morning tinkering in the shack and listening to the NH District Fire dispatching fire and medical calls. Lots of activity +20dB most of the time.

It's in my side profile... MB = Manitoba. But to be more precise.. Near Winnipeg Canada.

The stations were all 1200+ miles away. While I was listening, I was wondering if the dispatcher had any idea that she was being heard half way across the continent..
