Low volumne on BC785 caused by????

My volumne is turned all the way up but it still is way too low below what it would normally be on my BC785. Normally volumne knob could be turned to about where 4:00 is on a clock for a loud enough volumne.

Any ideas on this please???

Live Audio: Can one of two police departments be removed if I only want to listen to only one of them????

when did this start? Try disconnecting power, pull the volume knob and shoot the volume pot w/fast drying electrical cleaner and work the pot several turns. Wait 5 minutes then reconnect power and see if that cleared it. Otherwise you can try plugging in an external speaker to see if your internal one has a loose connection. That's all I have.

Did the agency you are listening to narrow band recently? When a radio system switches from wide (25KHz) to narrow (12.5KHz), you will notice lower audio on a scanner that is set to wide, or only capable of wide.
