I'm hearing med channels in the 33 MHz range from the east coast here near KC and also 6 meter SSB traffic from Montana up on 50.125 USB.

It's not just low band. There's a big north-south opening on VHF (2m) from the Wichita area south into Mexico and beyond!

I made a six meter contact with North Dakota (from Arkansas) on 50.150 on Tuesday 6/13. It's been a long time since I worked six meters.
