I'm wondering if they are planning to get this done before the Jan 1, 2013 deadline. If they are, good luck to them. If they're not, what ARE they going to do about narrowbanding?

That's a huge project to revamp an entire county...........

Ask for a waiver, like a lot of other agencies that have plans in progress are doing or going to do. All the FCC wants to know is how when and where, but that's about it.
BTW has anybody got a FCC link to any agency that has already applied for a waiver?

theres been some talks for quite a while about redoing the system, but rember lewis county isnt big as oneida, jefferson, or st.lawrence counties so i dont think it would take long to re service the entire county.

as far as waivers radioman, i havent seen nayhting in black and white reguarding waivers, but i imagine there would have to be something on paper

I think the FCC is keeping that a closely guarded secret, they did say that there were more than 3 but less than 10 last week, but I have yet to find any documentation.
