LPE-200 vs. Scanner

I have a question. I was in EMS Plus quarters the other day and I heard radio traffic from my HQ on the scanner before I heard it on my radio. Is this normal? It came in loud and clear on the scanner but had a lot of static and was breaking up REALLY bad on my radio. What's up with that?

Oh, btw I am refering to the Glenpool system.

been there/heard that,, i have been sitting in my tahoe pulled up next to an officer while we were talking my scanner was almost a second ahead of his radio traffic, other times its right on with his radio.

How long has it been since your radio (or the system) had a "tune-up"? E.g. reference oscillator checked, etc.?

Beats me, I just push the button and hope it gets out! :lol:

I'm hoping that when/if Jenks joins in a lot of the problems go away.
