Im in Troop F, does anyone know if the State Police choppers use the state police talkgroups like every other trooper, has their own talkgroup, or uses a dfferent frequency not a part of the State Of Louisiana TRS?

For flying speed traps LSP choppers talk on the I-Tac conventional 800 MHz freqs with the LSP Troopers.. but can use the TRS at any time.
On Interstate 10, between Lafayette and Baton Rouge, the choppers and ground units communicate on LSP-TA for speed monitoring.
They use this tactic statewide.. I-20, I-55, I-10....
They talk on the Conventional instead of the TRS mostly.... But then you have a few smarter than the average bear.. yeah bad pun.. scannists that know to put the conventional in thier scan patterns too. Also if applicable monitor all the SO's in the Parish your running through's systems as LSP does frequently interop with them. Alos once you take 55 North, and cross the MS State Line-
155.4300 Pike County SO Main... You will hear allmost ALL the activity including MHP Ops from the State Line to the Lincoln County Line. To be on the safe side also add in 42.3000 MHP Troop M, 42.0800 MHP District 9 Dispatch, 42.2000 MHP Car to Car, 158.9700, and 154.9350 the MHP ME's.
Once you hit Lincoln County, 158.7900 is LCSO, Copiah County is 45.1400, Hinds County is on a Motorola 800 MHz ASTRO digital/analog TRS. Once you cross the Lincoln/Copiah County Line, you then need 42.1200 MHP District 1 Dispatch, and 42.1800 MHP Troop C. Thats your full coverage from the LA State line to Jackson, MS.

155.4900 Statewide Hi band
45.3200 MHP Statewide Repeater Net.
On the I-20 front...
Warren County uses a Motorola ASTRO VSELP digital TRS which is unmonitorable... Then you hit Hinds County- See Above-
For MHP its District 1/Troop C. -Also See Above-
If your comming up Highway 61-
Wilkinson County- 153.7400
Adams County- 154.7400, and 453.4750, and soon also 453.7750
Jefferson County- 155.1300, and 155.9550
Claiborne County- 155.7450
Warren county- See Above-
MHP- See info for Disttricts 1, & 9, Troops C, & M.
