LTR Programming 246T?

Hi All:

I have never programmed an LTR system in my 246T, how do I enter the TG ID? Do I use the hyphen as it shows up on the screen, ie 0-05-139, or do I just enter 005139?

On the BC796D, dashes are actually removed when I view them in the software ID listing. I always enter without dashes in the software, and it works fine. I've never bothered to do it using the scanner menu. However, when I capture a new TGID and enter it using the transfer button, it still shows up without the dashes when viewed with Butel Software.
I am anxious to hear other experiences with this subject.

You would enter the id as listed

To enter TG 0-05-139...you could type either

"0.05.139"

The 246T replaces periods with the dash

OR

simply type "005139" and the scanner puts the dashes in the appropriate location.
