Looking for assitance programming and LTR system on my BCD996XT. I am using the ARC-XT Basic Software. After I have entered the control frequencies, Do I enter the DEC codes into the 'talkgroups' section? And if so, do I include the dashes listed in the DEC codes? Thanks for any help.

Jon,
For an LTR system, you must enter all of the system frequencies, in the correct LCN position. (This also applies to EDACS systems.) It's not uncommon for these systems to skip LCN's, so if, say, LCN 5 shows "N/A", don't put anything there.

Once you've done that, enter your talkgroups. You do need the 'dashes' in the talkgroups.

And I believe the dashes correspond to the decimal point - i.e. 02-045 would be 02 (.)045
