I have a LTR system in my hometown, the FCC website list about 15 freq for this system and states centralized trunking system! I would like to know if I am setting the system up correct in my pro-2067, I went in the 1,5,9,13,17,and so one sequence and don't think it is working correctly, any suggestions??

The PRO-2067 does not require the channels to be entered in a particular sequence. It isn't the best LTR tracker - the Uniden models work considerably better.

I thought that in ANY trunker that does LTR, in order to properly track an LTR system you HAD to enter LCN in proper order?

Not with the PRO-2067. It scans the sub audible of the channels, and if it matches what you are scanning for then it stops on that channel. So if the TG you are listening you gets shunted off the home channel then you may miss a bit as the PRO-2067 scans the channels to find it. I suppose if you have them in the logical order it may do it a bit better because of the scanning order.

The Uniden method is to actually monitor the home LCN of what TG you are locked onto. If the TG comes active but is on another channel it will act on the GOTO message on the home LCN and jump directly to the LCN that the TG was shunted to. This is why they need to be in the correct spots so when the jump is done you end up on the right channel. Following on from this you can actually, at least with the 780, have an LCN in the wrong spot and sit on it with the TRUNK button on and see the any TGs as will always decode TGs when in LTR trunk mode. So on an unknown system this is quite an easy way to have an educated guess at what the real LCN is.

All of Radio Shack's GRE manufactured scanners including the Pro-92, 93, 95, 96, 2067, and others work the same way. There is no need to enter freqs in any order for LTR. As has already been said, this is only necessary on Uniden made scanners.

While the PRO-93-95-2053-96 will all hear LTR systems in Conventional mode, only the PRO-92-2067 will TRACK LTR and allow you to enter TG ID's and lockout talkgroups and whatever.

The others won't track the LTR talkgroups...

i can not get the talk groups to come up . can i trunktrack with this scanner . please help.

The PRO-2052 is not able to trunk track any LTR system. You can monitor in conventional mode .
