LTR Systems - Freq = N/A

Hello:

Some listings for LTR sytems, such as, Areawide Communications (Hampton), show frequencies with the designation "N/A". Does this means that there is no frequency for a particular LCN or does it mean that there is a frequency but it is unknown.

Either. There MAY be a frequency for those slots, but it has not been ID'd, or, it is known that there is none. Both cases would be N/A

The N/A would indicate that when programming a scanner that uses bank/channel programming you would skip that channel. For example 1. 460.000 2.N/A 3.461.000 4.N/A 5.462.000 you would skip channel 2 and channel 3.

Yeah, it's policy to populate the unused channels for LTR and EDACS so people can see that there ARE gaps in between used channels.
