Anyone know what Lubbock County is going to do with their VHF system?

I found where they applied for 159.0525 with narrow band FM and P25 licenses. Also with 155.805....
Is this where the new system will be for the small departments that dont use the citys trucked system as well as the vol. fire guys???

155.805 is used by Lubbock Co EC . Last year it was used by Texas forest Service for airplanes to fight fires in this area. They were using analog at that time. I have not heard anything within the past year on it.159.0525 is the mobile input to it.155.535 is used slightly for mostly for check in,probably for cars that are not equipped with the city's radio system. The only town that is not on the city system is Slaton and they have there on channel on VHF.The VFD still are on 154.445. I hoped Ive answered your questions.

Eventually many Police Departments who want to continue receiving State of Texas communications funding are supposed to go to or have access to P25. And ALL Public Safety are in the process of meeting the new FCC narrowband mandate. But even if they narrow you'll be able to hear them you just have to crank the volume up. The 2.5Khz narrow voice deviation reduces the volume on the scanner to about half.
