The best I can tell you right now is that Lucas is still running on the 460 mhz as I am monitoring Maumee PD on 460.3750 as we speak. Lucas Co SO is still on 460.4750 so I am assuming that nothing new is happening at present.

The last I heard, most of the "infrastructure" equipment has been purchased. The sticking point is going to be the radios themselves. Most of the grant money that was coming from the feds is drying up. The Sheriff is now stating that individual municipalities may have to purchase their own radios. That's going to go over like a lead balloon. I know my department will not be abandoning our UHF repeater that works just fine for digital radios that cost thousands of dollars each and may or may not work (judging by Monroe County's troubles).

I don't understand, Lucas County UHF System works fine. Honestly the only one I see trouble with constantly is Sylvania City's repeater. Anyone else notice this?

Having all county agencies on one system is a very good idea.

No, I don't think any of the fire rigs have that in them. And putting every fire and police agency on one channel during a disaster is not a good idea...

Honestly, I hope is not a bad system like Monroe's. I know MARCS is a 360 baud and the new systems are 9600 baud. Is there anything difference with reception really?

Lucas Co will not be part of the MARCS system. I assume it will be simulcast though, so some scanner users may have issues.

I've not seen the PD side, the FD side uses the same rigs as the entire state (W7/ don't remember handheld.)
