Does anyone know the ID and location of a beacon sending numeral "5" around 405 khz? Very weak copy here.

That's the best you can do?
"Around" 405khz with a five in it?
It's repeated like every 5 seconds for all eternity, it will be there every night. try again!
Searching the FCC ULS from 404KHz to 406KHz resulted in.....

Of course this is just US licenses.
Could it be D5 at Mac Arthur River, Sk, Canada, which is actually on 406?
There are no single digit/letter ID's that I know of, it's usually 2 or 3 characters in the ID. And the frequency it appears to you on would be dependent on your receive accuracy and resolution, and mode you used to receive it in.
Edit. Oops. I see Ridgescan already mentioned D5.
I am in West Palm Beach, Fl., abt 70 miles north of Miami.
I was hearing it here for past few months almost like a local.
The ground wave coverage at those frequencies is very short--do not hear it today.
Strange
Hi guys. Happy New Year.
I am in West Palm Beach, fl.--abt 70 miles north of Miami.
I put a post on here a few days ago that I could here the beacon here then.
Well--I can hear it again. It's about an S5, but definitely copyable. And its one in the afternoon so ground wave propigation sucks at this time of day.
NOTE:
I can't hear some of the south Florida LDF airport beacons, so this thing must be close.
will dig out my LF RDF gear and start DF'ing this puppy.
Will keep u guys informed.
WHAT i NEED ARE GOOD BEARING FROM TOWNS NORTH AND SOUTH OF ME--FORT PIERCE AND FORT LAUDERDALE. With a RDF bearing from me, we can locate source.
