At about 2:25 P.M. on this date deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit, the Lyons Fire Department, Hygiene Fire, Allenspark Fire, Longmont Emergency Services Unit, and Pridemark Ambulance Service responded to a report of a structure fire at 227 County Road 69 in Lyons, Colorado. Upon arrival responding units found a barn type structure fully engulfed in flame. The fire was quickly contained by the fire units on scene, and no other structures were threatened. There were no injuries to either human or livestock as a result of this fire, but the structure was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Emergency Services Unit and the Metro Area Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT).
