• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Can anyone tell me (hopefully very soon, vehicle install is done but just waiting for this), which pins on the DB37 on the back of the RF deck are audio output? It's a front mount setup. All I can find is that it's pins 18 and 19 on the DB25 on the remote mount heads, but I can't find anything about the DB37 on the front mount.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; DROIDX Build/4.5.1_57_DX8-51) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

I don't know off hand, but it should be the same as the Orions. Should be able to find the correct LBI on repeaterbuilder for it.

Pin 18 & 19 on the DB37 female should get you going.

I checked an install manual and Pins 18&19 on the DB-37 are Spkr1 and Spkr2. Pin 11 is Mic HI and Pin 12 is Mic Lo (ALO), Pin 21 is INP1 and Pins 1 and 7 are GND if you want make the radio transmit. Be sure to program the radio to look for INP1 first tho.

Questions!
Would a Orion remote mount accessory and control cable work on a M7100?
Could i take a orion system head and remote cables, and convert a front mount m7100 into a remote mount and use the orion system control head? Or take the back part of the system head off and mount that to the control head of the m7100?
