I have a couple of questions about the talkgroups listed for the MCCA in the database under the MA State Police system (http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=736):

1. Would these talkgroups typically show up on Site 1 (Boston)?
2. Are these talkgroups for the new convention center, the Massachusetts Convention & Exhibition Center (MCEC)?

(I was at the MCEC a couple of weeks ago, and didn't hear anything on the 800 MHz system which is licensed to the MCCA (http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=2907). So, I started searching around 800 and 900 MHz, but didn't have much luck. I did get one Close Call hit that was a frequency from the MA State Police system. I didn't see until later that the MCCA has several talkgroups allocated on that system--guess that's where I should have been looking in the first place.)

Thanks,
Dave

Hello,

I think the BCEC system is a paper system. Licensed but not yet implemented.

MCCA talkgroups show up on Site 1 along with MWRA and DCR. It shares three sites around Boston with Site 5 which has the State Police. Site 5 has additional sites north of Boston.

There is a set of talkgroups for the BCEC and another set for the Hynes. This web page has better information.

Thanks--those were just the talkgroups I was looking for. Too bad I didn't know in advance that the 800 MHz system wasn't implemented, or I would have looked elsewhere for info on the convention center's system.
