No, With the Mac App Store opening a programmer could probable make a mint by having support Software for the T & XT versions of the Uniden Radios since the user pays when he downloads the software. A programmer could easily make money with the HP-1 with the Mac App Store this way also.

I so wish this was a done deal. I hate the idea of having to use my daughters XP machine just so I can download frequencies. My main computer is an iMac. I really wish the hobby had a Mac following.
The hobby has a Mac Following. Just no software. There is always VM (Parallels or VMware Fusion 3) and/or Bootcamp, and install <gasp> Windows.

How many Mac users with a HP1 are out there? 10? 500? 1000? If every single Mac user with an HP1 were to chime in here and it turned into a huge thread than it would be worth making a full fledged program. But just for 3 or 4 people it isn't worth it.
