I own both a Mac computer (OS X, Version 10.3.6) and a ICOM R8500. I have located a site that has software that will run the R8500.

In addition to the software download there are Fink files, etc, that also factor into the mix. I am far from a computer whiz and this looks complicated to me. Are there any users in the RR.Com fraternity that successfully operate their R8500 with this software on a Mac? If so, any advice, guidance, comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
This looks like a potential hair puller and, believe me, I don’t have much to work with.
