When the fire department responds to a call and a patient is going to the hospital, I hear for example, "One patient Mt. Clemens General, A.L.S." What does A.L.S. stand for?

And the opposite of that is BLS, or Basic Life Support. ;)

Or if you are from my area they just say No Life Support..

Least by the time the local medics get there.

LOL, true. However, it's good to know that many agencies now have at least one ALS vehicle these days. At least in my area... ;)

Life Support

I have heard them say "no equipment".
I suppose that means no support at all.

I have been wondering if it meant "don't bring anything special".

no equipment means it a basic unit, basic life support..... could mean they dont have the ALS equipment on that rig or they have no Medic only EMT's on board.....
