No. "Control Channel Only" only helps if he has all the control channels programmed in.

If he's missing a control channel than it won't help find it.

He needs to make sure he has all the frequencies for the site programmed in and if he's still not following the system on certain days, he needs to find the missing control channel.

He's recommending that the frequencies assigned to this FCC license (WNVR832) be applied to the system in your radio(s) and see if that helps.

Since this is what is listed on the license and the only common one between the license and the RR listing is 855.2125, you may only be hearing the system when it uses 855.2125 as the control. However, when the CC switches to a different control channel frequency that isn't listed on RR (and may be one of the above), your radio will go silent.

Having said that - there are two systems in the area - which one are you trying to listen to?

Central Georgia Interoperable Regional Radio System
Central Georgia Interoperable Regional Radio System Trunking System, Various, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies
(assuming the FCC callsign listed for this system on RR is correct - WPXX405 - RR is only listing 7 frequencies but the license shows 12).

or

Macon-Bibb City Services
Macon-Bibb City Services (P25) Trunking System, Macon-Bibb, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies
(assuming the FCC callsign tont reports is correct - WNVR832 - and it probably is since there is RR shows one of the frequencies for that license for this system, then it is likely - based on the FCC license that the RR listing is not showing the correct frequencies).

You can try entering the correct/additional frequencies listed under the respective licenses and see f that helps.

The best way to know for sure what the system frequencies are as well as find the correct FCC callsign is probably to use Pro96Com (Pro96Com - Control channel decoder for P25 Trunked Radio Systems).

These are working for Bibb So and Fire as well as Toby rangers. Not sure of the descrep with RR, unless they've rearranged the freqs.

Nope, no problem at all. In fact, with a Harris system (and possibly others), any channel can be used as a control channel so it's best to include them all.

What we really needed was for somebody to run Pro96Com or Unitrunker on the system or at least do a basic search to see if the control channel had moved.

Now that somebody has shown some initiative and provided us with an actual list of frequencies used by the system, things should be better for everybody.

Pro96Com shows all but the 857.23750.

FWIW, there were no radio affiliations or traffic during the time I was able to monitor this system.

Nice band opening after a thunderstorm, hopefully it helps others get back in the game.

I suggest that you go to the beginning of this thread and read the posts.
But since you are a new member, the system is Phase II, but does not use TDMA talk group ID's.

Actually, I did read every post on this entire thread. But you were right about me being new to this forum. I'm also fairly new to scanning and programming entirely.
Not one of the previous posts in this thread mention anything about p25 phase II.
I was just asking a simple question. But thanks though.
