Are the talkgroup codes and frequencies listed for Sheriff/EMA/Mutual Aid
for Madison Co. up to date? I tried entering the data into a BC796D as an
LTR trunk system and haven't heard any activity. Although I believe that I've
programmed the reciever correctly, I'm very new to trunk systems and the
BC796D.

brebuck, no list is ever truly up to date, Like "Why do I not hear APD & AFD on the 800 freqs anymore". Well in less then an iota of time, they moved to the UHF band. I I can't listen every day, I might not know that. But yes the info is good to use. You've missed some little thing, like using closed mode without any TGs turned on, using open mode with all TGs locked out. Turn trunking off, ie in conventional mode, if you hear traffic, or those little LTR blips, then the freqs are right. good luck

Thanks for the help.
Still not recieving. Are signal strengths weaker with this system?
Have UHF antenna mounted on rooftop which has always worked
for conventional transmissions. Do you think I need a different antenna?
