I think they have had the radios a while, just started using them though, not sure if everything 800 now though as I still hear them on the old channels too. Madison Co has one of, if not the best and most active EMA groups in the state.

Lots of EMA radio traffic on Safe-T tonight...37136 was refered to as EMA Ops 1. I was hearing everything on the Pendleton Tower...it sounds like most if not all of their EMA units have 800 radios.

Is it a full time or part time patch from UFH to SAFE-T? Digi or Analog?

It is only a patch from the uhf ops 1 to the 800 ops on the safe-t. The channel in our safe-t radios is labeled 48-ops 1.

It is perm. Dispatch is linked through our back up channel to dispatch the stations. All station alerts are on the back up channel now. We had several issues with dispatching the stations on the main channel. If a radio transmitted at the right time when dispatch was sending the tones to alert the stations the alert was cancelled and the station would not get the call.

On the back up channel you will only hear dispatch, no trucks. I hope this fixes the problem.

I heard Madison County EMA say today that the new radios and all of the base and mobile chargers will arrive on Thursday.

nothing new on the conventional side. just been watching the expansion of MC TGs on Safe-T, re Fire & Law. I think they are interop tgs.. same radio has been seen on D51,D52,D25,D41 Delaware Co & Henry Co tgs and others. d

2:45pm If you are just tuning in to MC/A MAC , MC/Chesterfield PD are looking for some young fellows who were mixing chems on S Water St in Chesterfield this AM. HASMAT & ISP Lab were called in to investigate.

Do you have any updates on SAFE-T Dean? I don't have a digital radio to keep track, just wondering if they are still rolling out radios.

The number of radios seems to be stable at about 25 +/-. However other then a few EMA units, nobody talks, they just "join". and they never leave, they just join. Thats why i think most radios are for interop.

What is the PL/DPL tone for 453.5125?

For those who scan the Anderson City utilities 800 Trk sys, (and who dont) an application to modify WPHE608 - for a new xmit site at the city building is on file. Using the same frequencies at lower power. Wondering if it will be simulcast.
