Does anyone monitor Madison County? I'm just wondering if they use an AWIN talkgroup or if they use the UHF repeaters that are listed in the database. I can't monitor them directly from my location.
I also noticed that the licenses associated with their UHF listing is a little strange. I expected they would be listed in the Public Safety radio service. Instead, they are in the Special Industrial (?) service. Very strange.
I realize that RR records are based on licenses, and it's sometimes hard to tell what a jurisdiction actually uses just from the license records. Any first-hand insight would be appreciated.

Cheers . . .

Madison Co MotoTrbo

first of all, I'm not anywhere near Madison Co, but it appears that someone grunged the license listings; some are indeed for business entities rather than public safety

look at the data from the listing of FCC licenses for the county rather than the rr.com database:

FCC Licenses and Scanner Frequencies for Madison County, Arkansas (AR)

you'll find several PW and YP entries for the county, including a UHF MotoTrbo system and a trunked 800 MHz system for the SO

Yeah, I saw those licenses. I was just trying to figure out exactly which of these possible systems they actually use.

I'm betting $10 that the Sheriff's Department Uses The MotoTURBO system.. Greene County is in the process of going to NexEDGE, and I can tell ya, If they're on that MotoTURBO system.. You can forget hearing them... PERIOD.... It's about to be the same way here but with NexEDGE.

Thanks JAVFD. That helps. According to the RR database, they have repeaters in Hindsville, Huntsville, Japton, and St Paul. Which of those repeaters are you able to monitor from your location? My guess is that the Huntsville repeater would be most active, but I thought I should ask since I have an expert online. Thanks again . . .

The FCC database update from last week shows a Madison Co license modification:

PW KWJ213
MADISON, COUNTY OF
Control Point 1 - 110 Maintenance Drive, HUNTSVILLE AR 479-738-2621
04/23/2012 License Modified
1 - GOVERNORS RD, HUNTSVILLE (MADISON) AR (map)
155.325 FB2 110p 200e 20K0F3E 11K2F3E
2 - AR Land Mobile Control Station Meeting 20 Rule
150.775 FX1 30p 20K0F3E 11K2F3E
3 - 48.0 km radius around fixed location 1
150.775 MO 100p 20K0F3E 11K2F3E
155.325 MO 100p 20K0F3E 11K2F3E

I have them programmed into my Pro-197 but don't really try to monitor them (probably too far away) so I can't give any real time observations. I'll punch them up when I reconnect the outside antenna (thunderstorm in progress) and see what I can catch from here.

Thanks POPPAFRED. I assumed that was the narrow-band license update for the Madison County EMS. If you hear anything different, that would be VERY INTERESTING. Thanks again. . .
