Anyone in monitoring range of this county? Can you provide some updates? If the LE/Fire did switch to DMR - can you see if you can grab Talkgroups and Slot #'s - and verify the same frequencies have indeed shifted from analog to DMR?

TIA!

I'm on the fringe of reception area- all I hear is FD dispatch on 154.4 (PL 127.3). In the "olden days" this was full duplex with field units, firegrounds etc, but now it appears to be dispatch only

I can confirm that Madison County switched over around 2024. They're on VHF DMR Trunking full time encryption for the entire system. I believe the 154.400 is still operational for tone outs but that's all.

I've been investigating..... I'm on the fringe area of reception, so its a bit sporadic and time consuming for me. What I have found is:

Madison County is licensed on KIS682 with six frequencies with DMR-type emission (7K60FXW). According to the license data these six frequencies are located, two each, in Madison, Greenville, and Day.

I loaded these frequencies into my SDS200 and so far it has detected digital style signals on both the Madison frequencies and one Greenville frequency. I then loaded the six frequencies as a DMR CAP+ system with three sites, ran LCN finder and this is what I have so far:
SiteFrequencyLCNCC
Madison
154.1375
17
Madison
154.3175
27
Greenville
154.2500
7
Greenville
155.6475
Day
155.6100
Day
156.1950

Have not heard any talkgroups yet, perhaps all encrypted. Still listening and will update as I learn more

The information that this user provided is basically all that I have. I may have some of the talk groups.
