I use a SuperAntenna MP1 coil based antenna (very much like a WRC) for my POTA/portable operating.
The literature with it speaks of using it mobil and it got me to thinking. I have a spare mag mount and it comes with a extra flat aluminum mount that you would clamp to something if you dont want to use the mini tripod BUT it also says its best not to mount to metal or grounded stuff 🤔, but would I be ok drilling a hole through the aluminum flat and bolting to the mag mount when I get to wear i want to operate? Or would I need to insulate between the mag and the flat?
