magnetic holders

Hello everyone.

Radio Reference forums has helped me in the past, and I am again hoping for some guidance.

Can a 436HP scanner be used with a magnetic holder?
Does the magnet affect reception?
I use a magnetic holder for my cell phone. It is strong and stable even when on the boat or off road and I really like it.

I searched magnet and magnetic interference, results mostly about antennas.

PS: The the belt clip, clip holder assembly snapped off soon after purchase. Do not want to replace.
