Maine State Police Unit 1048

This may have been posted here before but I have to ask again seeing as how it was never answered - What division of the state police is this? I have a list of all the departments that is posted somewhere online such as 100 - troop A, 200 - Troop B, 300 - Troop C etc. but I have been seeing Unit 1048 in a marked patrol SUV around the Waldo County area the past couple weeks. Today I saw him doing a traffic stop on RT 220 near the Mount View School In Thorndike. Any Idea what division this is? The only other place I have seen 1000 units were up in Bangor parked at the Bangor Airport. Just a little out of place around here seeing as how my area is in the Troop D patrol area (400).

Its a reserve vehicle i believe. i've seen it before also.

The vehicles you saw at Bangor with the 10xx plates are spare vehicles used by troopers when their assigned vehicle is in for service or repair. I've not seen numbers as high as 104x, but I suspect that's probably what you're suspicious vehicle is.
