somewhere between Davenport and Stanford.

Been ongoing since about noon with CalStar and Coast Guard helo searches.

Civil Air Patrol now gearing up for a major search operation.

Now it turns out there may never have been a downed plane.

Anyone hear the result of this situation? I was following this for a while but had to go to dinner and never did hear what the end result was. Was it a bunch of B.S.? Had to be, otherwise it would have been all over the news. I did hear the MPOSD Rangers mention that a call was received from someone claiming to be in distress.

I heard it was a hoax. Somebody got a handheld air-band radio and sent out a distress call.
