Meddybemps Maine is the furthest north I've ever picked up. Very close to Canada. I've never heard any Canadian stations on any band other than when I listen to AM at night ( I have a LONG AM radio DX list, i'll share that too on another thread) . Hoping one day to log a station from there. A few years back I did hear french on CB and there was an opening to the north but unconfirmed.

Environment Canada has a weather station out of Nova Scotia on 161.775, which is a good target for DX. You will hear both English and French. It appears to be operated by the Canadian Coast Guard and may be located on Sable Island. It was strong here the last few nights. I also had some DMR activity from Nova Scotia Power in the 157 MHz area.

Scott do you have the SysID from that 157 NS Power ?

I caught a L8, L8-2.4, but sadly the RR DB is missing the SysID's for NS Power

In New Bedford MA I had the St John New Foundland Harbor master on ch 12 marine vhf...Threw me off I though why is the New Bedford Harbor
master on ch 12 for.

Had P25 on RR 160.6500 PVD road Channel which I have been told from An MBTA Engineer that the state of Maine uses some RR channels
they are liscenced to use.

Had P25 also on 482.8125 which is a local analog PD Channel.

It was active yesterday 9/9/20

I had Bay of Fundy traffic control on 12, Halifax Coast Guard Radio on 16 as though they were local. This is a view of what VHF-HI looked like during part of the opening. Receiver is an Icom IC-R8600, Comet GP15 tower mounted antenna, and SDR# software. Almost overwhelming, where do I start? :D

482.8125 P25 was Woburn
160.6500 is MSCommnet - which was granted, Part 22 [old paging/RCC], Railroad and Federal [NTIA] allocations to build out their VHF TRS
