Make Antenna Connection More Direct

I have an Antenna Craft ST2 hooked up to my BCT15X, and I was looking for ways to make the connection more direct. Currently it goes from a "y" connection on the antenna through an "f" coax cable, then an "f" to "bnc" adapter into my scanner. Any ideas would be great

You're about as close to direct as you can get there. The "y" connection is the necessary 300 to 75 ohm transformer. About all you can do to make it more direct is to replace the "f" connector at your scanner side with a "bnc" connector (they make them so it should be fairly easy to find) and you can eliminate the F to BNC adapter. That won't save you much at all (assuming you have a quality adapter) but may make a super very noisy signal to only quite very noisy. A single adapter won't make much difference in your signal strength.
