Maldol AL-500H BNC... wtfbbq

Man, not my luck I guess. Ordered a Maldol AL-500H BNC airband antenna from Universal Radio. I got it today. On the blue sleeve, it says BNC. Unfortunately for me, the antenna itself had an SMA connector. Called Universal Radio and told them about the problem, and they went to look and found a few antennas in mislabled sleeves. It's irritating that I'll have to wait another week or two to get a replacement, but at least they're gonna pay for shipping back and forth. Universal Radio claims it's a Maldol factory screw-up. Anyone else get an AL-500H with the wrong connector?

On the brightside, the antenna looks well constructed. Too bad I can't use it.

I may end up just buying an SMA female to BNC male adaptor to save myself the headache... :roll:

I believe that happened to davidbond as well with a Diamond RH77CA... he ordered the aformentioned and got but got the SMA terminaled SRH77CA.

If it was me, I would just get the adapter and use the antenna.

and i just got my Diamond SRH519 today only to find R&L had gave me a RH519 by mistake. now i am stuck with the wait game.....
