Today is the opening day of skiing for Mammoth Mountain. I had planned to spent the day at the desk and figure out the system better as more talkgroups would be active now that they are up and running with skiers/snowboarders. I cleared out the history logger so I could see what the system would produce on opening day. I was excited to finally get a chance to monitor the system under busy conditions. HOWEVER, when I got up this morning nothing had logged and I've had the radio on all day with no receptions. I'm not experienced with these DMR Tier 3 Capacity Max systems.

Does anyone have suggestions of what to tweak in my radio program to figure out what changed this morning? I have all three repeater sites programmed in the channel order found in the database.

Dumb suggestion here ... but here goes...

I have a Uniden 996P2 which will periodically drop audio out of the speaker. The signal strength meter shows a full signal, but nothing out of the speaker. If I had a recording device connected ( which I don't) I assume I would never hear anything
recorded. So I simply turn off the scanner, then turn it on again and the audio returns as normal. I have never determined the cause of this and just assume ( there's that word again) that this is just one of Unidens little abnormalities.

So, that being said....maybe ??

Good luck...from the other side of the mountain.

How are you monitoring? Software such as DSDPlus or hardware such as Uniden scanner and software such as ProScan?
Do you hear any voice on the other channels?

I have it hooked up to the ProScan data recorder. I've had it hooked up to my BCD325P2 for 24 hours a day for several weeks. Nothing has recorded since early morning yesterday. I don't hear any voice at all. When it did work it always showed the data channel frequency as listed in the database and never one of the other frequencies. . Is there a logical channel number order the radio must be programmed with?

I've disconnected the radio from the ProScan software and turned the radio off and on several times. I've closed out of the software several times, rebooted and hooked up the cable 2-3 times. The radio is not is not stopping on any frequency or talkgroup. The problem is not just the audio, it isn't receiving anything on this system. The next thing I'm going to try is putting it on a conventional system to see if the radio is working. However, I've been receiving some close call hits while the radio is not receiving the trunked system I'm trying to listen to and record data from.

do you have the latest firmware for the 996P2 and 325P2? That addressed some DMR issues.
You could need LCN but since they do not have them listed, probably not
You program it as DMR/MotoTrbo and enter at least the three control channels. You should see the signal strength bars in the display
Be sure you are in ID search.
