Scanning the legacy system. I'm showing a cc of 851.6875. System ID 09DCH site 0102. That cc does not match the RR data base as the cc or alternate cc. I'm hearing testing on TG1 and keying up on TG3.The radio is set ID search as opposed to ID scan. None of the SSO TGs or city of Sarasota PD TGs are coming in. Only scat in the 7000 range and some in the 8000 range sounds like water dept.8120. I must be doing something wrong. I'm using a 996P2. Any suggestions

Thats not the legacy system...that is the new manatee/sarasota system...no LE or FD use yet other than Manatee FD disp simulcast

Good morning all...on this new system, testing was heard on 2/12 in TG 61201. Mention was made of FWC, both MSO and SSO were online...on Thursday 2/13 the channel is active with what sounds like the escort for the fallen FHP trooper.

I can confirm MCSO has gone as follows: (info submitted to wiki)

Manatee County Sheriff
1 D Patrol West (William units)
2 D
3 DE
4 D Patrol East (Edward units)
5 D
6 D
7 D Patrol North (Nora units)
8 D
9 D

MCFD is still changing over but this looks to be initial plan:

Manatee County Fire
201 Fire dispatch
202 Tac 2
203 Tac 3
204 Tac 4
205 Tac 5
206 Tac 6
207 Tac 7
208 Tac 8
209 Tac 9
210 Tac 10
211 Tac 11
212 Tac 12

MC EMS is also in progress:

Manatee County EMS
402 EMS dispatch
405 EMD admin

More as I get it

p.s. heard some weird tones in the 6000 range so SCFD is probably getting close too

I'm not receiving anything on Manatee Fire TAC channels, just initial dispatch on my BCD536HP. Still picking up dispatch on an old RS vhf scanner as well. Not receiving anything on Pulse Point via my cell phone. Is their an update required for my 536HP? If so, is it currently available?

Make sure you are set to site 1 CC 855.3875 not all of the traffic goes on site 2 Sarasota...212 sounds like it is running a drill...should not need update...this is a P-25 phase 1 system...good luck

Thank you for your response. I do not know how to check what site the radio is set to. I'm a retired Firefighter who was okay with crystal controlled units and basic programmable scanners. The new technology escapes me. I listen when my son (also a firefighter) is on duty. I believe he's at the drill that you mentioned. I hope I can figure this out, frustrated!

Just a question if anyone might know the answer. Based on the old EDACS TGID's is it fair to assume that there will be an exact match on the new P25 TGID's as it relates to Alpha Tags or is that basically out the window.

Example EDACS was:

Braden PD 1 Police F-1

P25 is:
Bradenton PD Police

In many cases yes but don't assume...they may have new plans for some agencies. The tags can say pretty much what you want them to. Both essentially say the same thing

I seem to recall reading that the database is updated weekly so shouldn't be too long...FYI the Broadcastify feed for Manatee County FD appears to have been moved to the new system

Thank you for replying, it does seem like Broadcastify is functioning again.

Why would they spend all this money when there are digital scanners anyone can buy that will still listen to them.
Wonder when someone will setup a
Broadcastify scanner for Manatee county all departments?

I use to have a Radio Shack Digital that picked up Sarasota with no problem but sold it some years back.
Might have to look for another digital one in the future. Im moving soon to Ft. Myers Pine Island Saint James City area and I see they are on the Broadcastify site. I used a Pro-107 for Manatee for years till they just switched to the P-25 will see how it works for them this time.
