I wonder if they'll go digital like Vernon, South Windsor and Glastonbury (although they're 800MHz). It would make sense since they have the tri-town Narcotics Task Force.

I'd vote they are going UHF P25 for sure. Vernon, South Windsor, Enfield, etc. are already there. I'm sure East Hartford will be right behind them too. Only 800MHZ P25 departments local is Glastonbury. SW WAS 800MHZ, but switched to UHF.

Eastern Central Narcotics Task Force is on Marcus' NEW Hytera Tier III system... so it cant be found or monitored either way... already encrypted

there radios are moto I think not sure the mpd is UHF so there going to stay UHF just it would be p25

Correct me if I'm wrong but is Marcus one of the systems that can not be monitored with a scanner,I thought I read that somewhere in a post on another subject awhile back.

Marcus Communications has had two major trunked systems for years... Both LTR, one standard which can be entered and monitored and the other Passport which cannot be easily monitored... only by entering the freqs conventionally, which means the channels have to be scanned manually since the scanner will stop on each channel on not scan.

They supposedly have a new DMR trunked system. Below is what I've put together from the FCC ULS DB, but I have no way to monitor it to confirm anything:
