If the department is encrypted, you won't be able to hear it anyway. So a 5 minute delay, or a 500 minute delay won't matter.

It looks like from the thread the department is going to stream it 30 min delayed, so its going to come from an encrypted radio or the console I assume. So you will be able to hear it.
I think its great they are allowing this, It keeps the scanner hobby alive and gives them what they want.

A huge win win for us, its just a hobby so we have no need to listen to it live, we might want to but we have no need to.

Is Manchester live on the digital system yet, or are they still on South Windsor? Thanks.

As of this morning, the MPD is still using South Windsor's CH 2 as a digital P25. I found a pretty good deal on a used BCD396T, which seems to be picking it up fine.

Have you found out?

KTO334 silent since Saturday. I searched FCC database and found KCB851 but no traffic on any listed frequencies. Does anyone know what the new system frequencies are?

I too am not able to monitor the Manchester PD and I am frustrated that they feel they can just shut off this system to the public, especially now with all the questionable arrests we keep hearing about throughout the country.

Today when I got home from work, I was getting static on 460.125 analog, so I programed a P25 channel 460.125, and I am now hearing Manchester PD on the digital system. On my scanner, I added a new group, new channel, P25, and entered the frequency and that is all it took.

Figure this one out folks

Working some snow banks in my yard, took my 396t with me cuz it has a belt clip for it.

Heard some very familiar voices & locations & codes ,I look down & walah, It was Manchester PD ch 1 coming in loud & clear like I was in the mpd parking lot!

It NEVER came in this good before

Now here is the catch

I have 2 HP 1's & a 436 & they r not receiving MPD ch1 @ All.

I Plugged them all in to sentinel & it sez that both firmware & database r up 2 date on them all.

Keep in mind that I cant remember the last time I updated my 396T, But it receives MPD ch1 Fantastic!

What can I do to get MPD ch1 working on my other 3 radios??

TIA 4 all suggestions & replies & its nice to hear MPD again, Just would like 2 hear them on my other radios too

If you are relying on the RR DB, has the Freq/NAC been submitted ??
1. CG only found it last night.
2. Isn't the DB Download a weekly update ? So it might take 1-2 weeks, for your radios to work, unless you can manually add it.

I can confirm Manchester PD Dispatch is on 460.1250 and NAC 510.

Listening to it right now on my HP-1, and reception is loud and clear.

I guess I don't understand this thing. It is a bcd396t and even though I had added the 460.125 as a P25, I just noticed that it wouldn't show the name I had assigned it. Turns out that this scanner figured out that 460.125 is a P25 channel and just decodes it. I ended up deleting the additional group and I am still hearing Dispatch and Car/Handhelds. Is there even a way to manually enter the NAC code and if so does it work better, worse, or not at all?

The BCD396T is an older scanner that can't decode NAC codes.
If it doesn't show the name you gave the channel, could be because you hit Function+5 while holding on a fre/tg which will switch from the text to the freq/tg.

Channel one is the only channel you will hear chatter on. Channel two is 100% encrypted.

NAC of $510 has been added to the DB.

Not having any luck yet

Plugged in my HP 1's & it says that my DB's are up to date & yet having my 396T right next to them with MPD CH 1 transmitting away, they are still silent on MPD.

What Else can I do to get MPD CH 1 up & running on my HP 1's??
