• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Firetech792 posted on Scan-NJ this morning that one of the County Fire Coordinators said that Stations 32 and 34 will be going to County UHF dispatch by the end of the month. No mention of Station 33 in the post.

Manchester Twp. fire departments are in the process of switching over to Ocean County UHF Dispatch, 508.1875 PL 71.9, and to the County Trunk System for fire ground. New pagers have been issued and the new radios are being programmed. It has also been noted that they will also have communications capabilities with Manchester Twp. Dispatch on the Manchester Twp P25 Digital Trunk System. For specifics go to the following:

Yes, they're all on UHF dispatch now. One night this week there was an announcement for Station 32 and 34 members to leave their UHF pagers turned on for dispatch. Station 33 has been on it for say, maybe a couple of weeks. Not that that matters, they're all on it now anyway. They're using Fire Zone 4 TG for FG.
