WS1088: Manual Search Function

Is there a way to manually chose a frequency on this unit. For example if I want to switch to a fire ground channel I have to wait until I get a communication and press hold. I want to be able to just chose the channel like on the older analog units.

There are several possibilities but it depends on the system/channels you are trying to listen to and how you have them programmed.....

One option is to put different channels/talkgroups into different/separate scanlists.

Another option is to simply press the LEFT arrow button on the rocker switch and then step up/down, etc to switch to the channel/talkgroup you want.

The other (I think) is the search function (Func -> 9)....

Lots of possibilities.

Thanks/ Scan Sets

I kept pressing the right button. Can anyone enlighten me what the purpose of scan sets are? I have read this over and over and still am unclear as to why I would need them.
