Good Morning!

Loverly cool morning this morning in NW Louisiana but we're going to have copious amounts of sunshine and a high of 66 degrees, cooling down to the 30's tomorrow morning, brrrrrr! LOL!

Somehow, I've "misplaced" my Pro-95 "paperwork" (aka. website info) on the shortcuts to re-programming the R$ Pro-95. I believe this to be a GRE model, so I'm asking here. ( Moderators: If I am 'misteaken', please move it to the proper forum, so my question can be asked. Thanks)

Here's the deal. Several months ago, while "mobile" in the F-150, I tried to "change banks". I had the Caddo Parish Communications E-911 District # 1 programmed in Bank 0 and the Bossier City, LA Public Safety programmed in bank 2. In changing back to bank 0, I somehow, "unlocked" the bank and now get ALL of the Caddo 911 system (dog catcher, S'port City inspectors, City bus system, etc.). I want to "re-do" the whole scanner, but separate the Caddo 911 fire units (Shreveport and Caddo parish units) from the police (S'port police/Caddo parish sheriff/surrounding police depts.). I also want to NOT get talk groups I would never listen too, the aforementioned Animal Control, Electrical/Plumbing inspectors, Sportran buses, city water, streets, garbage crews, etc.

Now, I do know that when the scanner is first turned on, if you hit "0" then "1" before it gets to the "Welcome" screen, it "dumps" the memory of the whole scanner and you start 'fresh', LOL!

Does anyone know where I can go, on-line, to look up the "short-cuts" that would help me 're-program' the scanner where I can do this?

Since the '95 is capable of scanning both 800 mhz trunked and conventional (30-50mhz, 150-174mhz, 406-512mhz) frequencies at the same time AND each bank has 100 "channels", it makes sense to add the additional conventional frequencies to their respective banks.

Sorry for being so "descriptive", that's just the way I've always been, LOL! I was called "Dr" or "Professor" when I was a child in school, because of this and I read a lot, so I knew the subject. I guess I should have become a 'teacher' instead of what my "Life Path" chose. :)

Respectfully submitted,
73,

Don/KA5LQJ

Under my signature is a link for RRwiki shortcuts.

:) "Thanks", Brother Frank!

WOW!

"Thanks Frank!" That was quick! I appreciate the help, tremendously. Sometimes my brain doesn't work like it's SUPPOSED to and I have a great deal of difficulty "remembering" or "how to look up things". Just part of getting "old" I guess, but dementia runs in my family.

Thanks again, "Brother". Nice to know I have such great friends on here. ;-)

Respectfully,
73,

Don/KA5LQJ

You bet Don,

Not that you need any changes but I just noticed a spelling error, so did an edit and corrected?

Also, made a slight change to reflect the following from a previous Note: in Storing known trunked frequencies
Note: 1. EDACS must start in channel 01 of bank rather then channel 00
and must follow a listed order called LCN.
2. Motorola systems require only control channels to be entered.
3. Multisite Motorola system may be stored in same bank, however,
we recommend separating controls of each tower by an unused
frequency such as 1300.0000.
Changed item 1. and 2. slightly.

Fortunately, GA
Have you considered getting Win95? It is free programming software from Don Starr.

All you need is the radio shack USB programming cable-part # 20-047 to complete the package. If you have a Yaesu or Icom programming cable for ht's, that will work also. (The older DB-9 cables).
