Manually select ID's on Pro-96/2096

I have both of these radios but I am unable to manually select and ID/talkgroup. I've read the manual several times but apparently just don't "get it". Any ideas?

You could select the bank to appear with a - (closed) rather than a + (open) , that way only your programmed groups appear.
For only one TG just hit HOLD and that ID will stay until you hit SCAN.
