MOA frequencies are shown on sectional and WAC charts that cover the areas in question. Charts are available electronically from the FAA.

Note that frequencies listed are ATC frequencies. Tactical freqs would have to be obtained elsewhere.

Yes, I have the ATC freqs from the RR database. I'm looking for the tac freqs...

I'd get the charts. They're free. The RR database has no compunction against being wrong now and then.

You pretty much need to sit there and listen. Unless someone else has done it for you. Some MOAs have published users guides that list tactical freqs. The MOA here in California that covers Edwards AFB and China Lake has a very detailed document for pilots using the range.

Try a Google search on the MOAs of interest. See what pops up. The Joshua MOA has such a document. So does the Beaver range out of San Diego. The Nellis range doesn't seem to make theirs available, for understandable reasons. Those are the only ones I've ever looked for. I've no clue what's in your neck of the woods.

Mil Air Reference Material (MOA / AR)

Happy Holidays Mil-Air Folks!

As a companion reference to my post last fall (AP-1/B Tanker Route Maps & Frequencies) attached are my most used or Top-5 typical references I use to get clarity of terms and to actively use to determine what times and frequencies to listen for Air Refueling or MOA activities, an occasional "VIP" movement or major sporting event (Superbowl, etc.) that might have an active Combat Air Patrol (CAP) as well.

Various references are available & each person has his/her favorites...just add these to the list...

Enjoy!

Bill

Special Use Airspace Maps

This link will give you sections of the US showing Special Use Airspace: https://sua.faa.gov/sua/siteFrame.app

The first maps shows airspace covered by the individual ARTCC locations around the country. The problem I'm having is finding the tac freqs used in the MOAs. When the IFR Supplements were available it was fairly easy but after 9/11 that pretty much dried up as a resource...
