Marcs Control Channel Question

My PRO-96 manual says that I only need to enter the control channel for Motorola trunking but should I program the alternate control channels (the ones in blue) too?

Myself I put both CC's in per site, but if you are limited for space you probably get by with the primary CC.

My question is, there appear to be 3 alternates for some areas and 1 primary. How do you know which alternate to program?

I just put them all in, you never know which alternate they may use if the Primary goes down
