heard what sounds like a street dept. the other day talking about plowing on 17020 radio IDs where 2490079 and 2490081. Couldn't make out where they were at though but according to the first 2 digits should be Fayette County I believe. They also made mention of a street by the name of (Wentz) spelling may not be correct but I got the hit on the Greene County Simulcast site.

ODOT seems to be using the MARCS-IP system up here in NW Ohio. I heard a LOT of traffic from snow plows over the last few weeks but not much else.

Heard OSP unit 292 call for dispatch (Bucyrus) on TGID 51517. He's a Marion unit. I doubled checked this morning and the Bucyrus tower is still not online.

Talkgroup 17500, "25COMSVC". I heard something to that affect too, that there is an issue with their vehicular repeaters which may delay the OSHP switchover.

This letter explains the issue and the likelyhood that OSP's switch to MARCS-IP is not likely in the near future.

This shows the request is still pending with the FCC.

Link to the SIEC website. On the main page on the left under news and information is the mention of the new date.

Statewide Interoperability Executive Comittee > Home

End of March is basically same as April or thereabouts. Granted, with OSP not migrating over soon, maybe they aren't pushing so hard for a firm cutover date. But the mention of April doesn't mean anything to me because there really is no difference between end of March or "on or around April 2015". Well, there could be, but that statement is very vague.

Of course RR users need to get to work anywhere -- there are many sites online but not in the database because the RR users aren't confirming and providing RFSS-SIte ID and CC information.

IP Sites reported online - need confirmation

Birdies have suggested that the following sites are online. Confirmation is needed by direct monitoring or monitoring of neighbor sites showing neighbor info (CC / RFSS-Zone).

Code:
Westgate (Williams)	773.38125 772.73125 770.68125
Edgerton (Williams)	771.55625 770.75625 769.35625
Kunkle (Williams)	772.73125 772.00625 769.95625
Norwalk (Huron)	773.33125 772.70625 772.13125
			771.80625 771.53125 770.45625

Other sites that should be coming online soon if not already online:

Code:
Bucyrus (Crawford)	773.55625 773.05625 772.23125
			771.28125 770.03125 769.78125

Fairview (Guernsey)	773.28125 773.03125 771.28125 770.20625
Londonderry 770.25625 769.83125 769.08125
New Phila (Tuscarawas)	774.53125 773.93125 772.45625 771.85625
Greenup (KY) 774.78125 774.08125 773.63125 773.20625

If you are in these areas, or can monitor a tower site that would be a neighbor of one of these sites using Pro96Com or Unitrunker, it would be very helpful to us all if you would check the frequencies listed above to see if there is a 24/7 control channel online.

Please submit any information on newly discovered sites to the DB and/or post here.

Thanks

Mike
