Off of the Cherry Valley Tower:

TG 53500 with radio ID of 9300xxx and then a few minutes later that same radio ID affiliated with TG 53528 which is listed as XOIU SW, is it safe to assume that 53500 is an OIU TG? Hate to make assumptions but it is possible.

Personally, 53528 XOIU SW was mentioned in a forum or submitted by somebody as a guess at some point. I don't personally think that's what it is. But that's just my take.

53504, 53508, 53512, 53516, 53524, 53528, 53532 (and maybe others) appear to be BWC stuff from my monitoring.

With that said, 53501-53532 could be a mixture of BWC and OIU, but I think it's all BWC.

I know Bender Communications has an office in Richland co. That's probably "radio service" you are hearing. No idea what the talkgroup would be.

Heard conversation on 42004 this evening. Portable to portable one was inside local Walmart store testing coverage. Suspect this is being used by Springfield Township Fire Department employees. The other person was just pulling into station 1 and there was fire department related conversations.

Sounds like somebody might want to submit that talkgroup to the DB if there is a reasonable degreeof confidence that it is a Vasu Com talkgroup.

Good call. I wouldn't personally expect it to be a Vasu talkgroup, but what do I know. Similarly though, I really question if that Bender Com talkgroup in the DB is really Bender and not them testing a talkgroup for whatever county that talkgroup is in.

Anyway, thanks for being sensible. Many of us [including me] or often too quick to submit something without decent confirmation.

If you are confident of this, please submit it to the DB. We are refraining from adding things to the DB simply because they are stated on the forums. If somebody believes they have nailed down activity for a particular talkgroup, it will need to be submitted to show up in the DB.

They may just be using this temporarily, so I recommend waiting for further developments. The XSO-xx talkgroups are designated specifically for statewide interoperability use and are generally available to any public safety agency in the state, so they're not really appropriate as a primary dispatch talkgroup.
