Thanks doing it now.....

Thank you. I don't know the hospital number for Miami Valley Hospital South -- which is why it is labeled XHOS57xx for now.

I also picked up your other submission -- check your Gmail for a response and then go respond via the ticket system (go to the top of RR, click on HARDT0303 and then click on My Submissions) to respond to that if you wish.

59916- Last night I was hearing Careflight 2 using it, but today I've been getting hits with Careflight 1. I have heard Careflight 1 talking to "CareCom" anyone know who that it is. Careflight told them they were safe on Deck and then on one hit they said they were in route to MVH (Miami Valley Hospital) where they are based at. Any help would be appreciated..... Wondering if they have a Statewide wide Disp. now maybe controlling the Medical Heli Transports ?

I'll admit that from what you describes it sounds like a talkgroup for CareFlight. But, I still can't get out of my mind the fact that historically, so far on the system, the 59xxx talkgroups have been hospitals and health departments. I would not expect to hear dedicated MICU stuff there, but rather other talkgroups such as the ones you see in the Medical area of the DB

Mike

PS: I shoudl have looked in the DB earlier. This already exists:

59926 ea16 D XCAREFLT Miami Valley Hospial CareFlight - Calling

So you are likely right that it is a dedicated CareFlight talkgroup of some sort. Sorry about that. Guess now we just need to determine which one.

On the OLD MARCS 3.5 system we have:

37984 946 D CARE AIR Miami Valley Hospital CareFlight - Air Ops EMS Dispatch
38000 947 D CARE GRND Miami Valley Hospital MICU EMS Dispatch
38032 949 D CARE FLT Miami Valley Hospial CareFlight - Calling EMS Dispatch

So I suspect that it is either CARE GRND or CARE AIR

If they said they were safe on deck that is terminology consistent with helicopter traffic.

Not being in public safety myself, I guess I really misunderstood MICU vs Helo. Didn't know if both were considered "mobile" and if air vs ground ops meant ground ops at hospital and air ops in transit. I've added the talkgroup as XCAREFLT-AIR

Thanks to HARDT0303 for the submission.

Mobile is industry talk for Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

Safe on deck, skids down or in Care Flight's case wheels down ( there aircraft have wheels) are landing terminology.

Ok.... So I have beat my head listening to these recording for the last hour and it actually sounds like Care Ground which would be MVH dispatch for them. Is there anyway of pulling these off the HP-1 and posting them. Would like to get another set of ears to make sure its correct.

Heard this overnight - still 94xxxx UID, en-route to an a dress, talk of fire etc.

Curious on what this could be - hits on Zanesville site.

So far the only 94xxxxx talkgroups I've seen were

a. a bunch of 94004xx RIDs on XCALLSE
b. a bunch of 94007xx RIDs on varius Ohio National Guard talkgroups

94xxxxx are federales

Could it possibly be someone enroute to the fire in Brunswick lastnight?

In a house in Ohio
61198 on the Franklin County system had people talking about the rear bin. Most likely Rickenbacker Airport/ANGB or Port Columbus.

Rear bin = Aeroplane.

Sounds like Whitehall PD has made the switch here in the Columbus area. Been hearing them for the last 5-6 hours, all communication sounds like routine dispatch

Unfortunately the P25 simulcast issue is not something that will go away.

Solution = BCD436HP or BCD536HP. . .

Alternatively, try the P25 simulcast tips from the Wiki. I've gotten a PSR500 to work reasonably well by entering the Columbus simulcast as a separate system, cutting in the attenuator on it and using a minimal antenna.

Even better if you have a scanner which allows you to turn on the attenuator for a single site.

Thanks for the tips Tom, I'll have to try them
